Mental Health America is a national 501(c)3 organization with 340 affiliates nationwide and 40 throughout Indiana.
Our Mission
Promote mental health awareness through advocacy and service. Right now, one in four people in the U.S. are living with a treatable mental health condition.
History
Our affiliate has existed since 1953 and is supported by individual donations, small grants, corporate gifts, agency fundraisers and United Way funds.
Who We Serve
MHA of Vanderburgh County serves residents from Vanderburgh, Warrick, Posey and Gibson counties in Indiana.
What We Do
All MHA programs are offered at no charge to the recipient.
Support Groups
Bi-weekly groups led by trained peer facilitators and mental health professionals for Anxiety/OCD, Bipolar and Survivors of Suicide.
Supplemental
Medication Program
Supplies an emergency 30 day supply of some psychiatric medications to uninsured adults.
CommunityEducation
MHA participates in health fairs and provides workshops, trainings and lectures on mental health and related issues.
