Mental Health America is a national 501(c)3 organization with 340 affiliates nationwide and 40 throughout Indiana.

Our Mission

Promote mental health awareness through advocacy and service. Right now, one in four people in the US are living with a treatable mental health condition.

History

Our affiliate has existed since 1953 and is supported by individual donations, small grants, corporate gifts, agency fundraisers and United Way funds.

Who We Serve

MHA of Vanderburgh County serves residents from Vanderburgh, Warrick, Posey and Gibson counties in Indiana.

What We Do

All MHA programs are offered at no charge to the recipient.

Executive Director

Emily Reidford

Emily Reidford has served as MHA’s Executive Director since 2012. She graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Human Development & Family Studies. She is a QPR Master Trainer, Mental Health First Aid Trainer, CALM Trainer and Resilient Evansville Trainer. She currently co-chairs the Suicide Prevention Coalition and Resilient Evansville.
