
Business Outreach Program Overview
Does your business suffer at
times due to employee absenteeism or employee conflicts? Do
you know where to turn for assistance when your employees need
mental health support? We are Mental Health America of Vanderburgh
County, a local chapter of a 100 year-old national organization
dedicated to improving the mental health of everyone in our
county, including your employees.
We have created a Business Outreach
Program just for you because we know that your bottom line is
affected by how well your employees feel mentally and emotionally.
In fact, depression alone cost the country $83 billion dollars
in absenteeism, lost productivity and direct treatment costs.
We also know this is the right thing to do to help stop the
increase in suicides in our community over the past year.
Our new program for businesses
includes access to our information and referral line, suicide
prevention training, mental health screenings, information and
access to our free therapeutic support groups and literature
on a variety of mental health topics. We also offer presentations
to management on mental health wellness issues such as stress.
All of these services
are free to your employees with a very low cost, tax deductible
business membership.
